Belgian circa 1878, similar to a Warnant Patent, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel with integral raised sighting-rib, the breech-end signed 'BREVETE HERMAN' within a scroll engraved border, scroll engraving extending along the top-rib, scroll engraved break-open frame with pull-back release-catch, scroll engraved fluted cylinder with full ring type automatic ejector, spurred hammer, chequered walnut grip and guarded trigger, the whole re-blacked with some pitting and loss to engraved detail
